BLOODSTONE or HELIOTROPE has been well-documented for centuries for its powerful healing properties – in Greek, Heliotrope means “Solstice”.  It is from the Quartz group of crystals, with green, red and yellow inclusions from iron silicate and/or hematite, chalcedony and jasper. In Medieval texts it is referred to as Green Jasper or Blood Jasper, and was recommended for healing infections, inflammations and poisoning. With its iron and jasper content, it is an excellent cleanser and purifier of the blood, and therefore beneficial for the liver, intestines, kidneys, spleen and bladder.
